Kumar & Associates, Inc. (K+A) provided construction observation and materials testing services for a 35-acre, 6 MW solar facility at the U.S. Air Force Academy. The solar facility was constructed between winter 2010 and spring of 2011. The project included approximately 19,000 solar panels supported with driven pipe piles, support buildings, buried transmission lines, utilities, and concrete pads. K+A provided observation and testing of site grading and fill placement, concrete testing, and welding inspections.
